J.M.G Le Clézio Readers’ Association was founded in 2005.  It is a non-profit organization registered on July 18, 2005 with the Préfecture de Savoie, Chambéry, France (registration # 0732015541).
BYLAWS:

ARTICLE 1.    People who agree with this governing document create a non-profit organization called “Association des Lecteurs de J.-M.G. LE CLÉZIO” [J.M.G. Le Clézio Readers’ Association].

ARTICLE 2.     The association’s mission is to create a venue for the exchange of ideas amongst J.M.G. Le Clézio’s Readers, whether they are regular readers, librarians, publishers, writers, or researchers.  The aim of the association is to organize and support activities that will contribute to a better understanding of Le Clézio’s literary work.
